Today's experience in Second Life allowed me to see a variety of different areas and "virtual spaces". I took a look at the "maybe" new design for orientation island and it seemed pretty cool...much better than the old one in my opinion. They explain a lot of the things that i didn't really know about before or atleast....not that well. Second Life seems pretty good as a program for virtual space in general but it still needs some work. I've played many other virtual reality games before but those are created with a lot of indepth work and have dedicated teams for everything. I'm sure as Second Life matures so will the stability of the program.
My biggest problem was the lag someone would experience when going into certain areas that have a lot of fog or detail. Other than that i haven't had any encounters with "crashes" not yet atleast. I hope that doesn't jinx me any time soon. Ive run the program a few times and havent had any issues yet.
Following is a screenshot of the class today.
